The story behind Vagabond Bridal

Vagabond Bridal launched its debut collection in 2018, with widespread success across the globe. Our gowns can be found across most continents, with more than 60 retailers globally.

Vagabond was founded from a lifelong love for fashion, couture and design, aiming to create a fashion-forward wedding dresses that make women feel their most beautiful. Our ethos is a contemporary take on femininity, combining a deep passion for the art of dressmaking with thoughtful design and couture-level craftsmanship. Each piece is individually made by hand, and every last detail, from fabric to fit is centered on a passion for quality.

Each gown’s silhouette, structure and fabric serve as a foundation for the underlying timelessness and femininity that characterizes a Vagabond gown, to celebrate the strong, beautiful and fearless women who wear them.

We pride ourselves in our strong focus on the economic empowerment of women alongside ethical production practices and a balanced working environment for women in today’s economic climate. We have our own full spectrum in-house team which means that we do not need to outsource any workmanship. Our team is filled with skilled artisans who have over two centuries of experience between them. We use traditional pattern making techniques which are all developed by hand and tested individually, nothing about Vagabond is automated or mass produced.

Vagabond situates itself firmly within the slow fashion movement by manufacturing each gown individually and only to order ensuring that there is zero product waste. We practice minimal waste production methods, only use eco silks, do not use any animal products, and we are constantly focused on minimizing environmental impact of packaging materials.
